Checklist for Anthologies

Check-list for Anthologies

o September- 15 and 16- decide on the 18 authors for each project. Give Mrs. Guinn the list that you are going to do. Seek Approval for any author not on the list.
o September 29 and 30- Begin Research on life and accomplishments of each author.
o October 15 and 16- Find a piece of writing from each author
o October 27 and 28- Each week from now to Christmas Break respond to two different author’s literature. Mrs. Guinn will provide literature critique example during this week.
o January- Begin typing your author information for each one. Be sure to give credit where credit is due. Lab will be open every day before school and on certain days after school. (Depending on Mrs. Guinn’s class schedule)
o February- Find pictures to incorporate into your writing. Mrs. Guinn will demonstrate the correct way to insert pictures into writing.
o March- Type Literature and Literature Responses for each author
o April- Proofread, Print, and Compile presentation in clear project folder.
o May- Turn into Mrs. Guinn

Last Stuff

Here's the latest stuff for next week:
On the day of your final you will need:
A pencil (NOT A PEN)
Your seven crucial questions for each story that we read (21 total- three stories x seven questions)
Your Projects (1 from regular literature; 3 for honors literature)
If you chose, your 1 bonus project.

I'm Back.

Okay, so I'm back, but I've done no grading. TOO SICK!!!! I am finishing up everything hopefully by this weekend. Anything I don't finish, I'll post next semester. I am trying to get back into the swing of things. You guys need to be finishing up all work and getting ready for the final. First period White day. If you want a study guide come by my office before monday. See you in class.

Sick Teacher

Okay, so it's Sunday and I am still really sick. I won't be at school on Monday. I don't know about tuesday yet. You guys need to be reading the Birds, Cask of Amontillado, and Most Dangerous Game. Honors should also read Percus. Continue to work on your projects for the end of the semester. I'm almost finished with the test and should be posting them on Icue by tomorrow. Hopefully I can finish the essays too. Be good for the sub. Kimberly Guinn

Slacker

Okay, so I've been slacking on the blogger. Thanks Terry for point this out. Between your tests, essays, and my homework, life has gotten a little hectic. So here's what's up. Everyone should be reading The Most Dangerous Game and Cask of Amontillado. The seven crucial questions should be answered for each story. Every class will be given (some already have) a list of project ideas. Honors must choose three to do and Regular must choose one. Everyone can do 1 extra for bonus. These are due on the day of your final: 1st block White Day: due Monday December 19th, 1st block blue day:due Tuesday, December, 20th, 3rd and 4th block white day: due Wednesday, December 21st, and 3rd and 4th block blue day: due Thursday, December 22nd. The final will be the same as the pretest from the beginning of the year. I want to see how far you have come. This test is worth 20% of your final grade. Just to let you know. Study hard these last few weeks.
