Students will create a "wanted" poster for one of the Greek Gods or Goddesses. Students will work in pairs for 1st white and 3rd blue and on their own in the rest of the classes to do this assignment. Groups will need a large sheet of poster board to make their "wanted" posters. Students will remember to include all of the following information:
Name of god/goddess
Roman name
Physical and emotional description of god/goddess
Milestones
Hardships or struggles
Major accomplishments.
Students will write an investigative report on your chosen God or Goddess. Students will need to present all of the information that is on the poster, written in paragraph form in their Investigative reports. Students will edit each other’s work. Students will give their report a title and type it according to regular classroom standards (proper grammar and spelling, double spaced, 12 point, Times New Roman font).
Students will present your project to the class. Students grade will be based on how well they present (eye contact, posture, whether you take this seriously or not, etc.). Students will need to have their "wanted" poster completed and in class on the day of their presentation. The entire project will be due this day. If a member of any group is absent (without good reason), s/he loses the points for the presentation and will receive a lowered grade on their portion of the assignment.
Assessment: The students will be responsible creating a "wanted" poster for one of the Greek Gods or Goddesses, writing an investigative report on your chosen God or Goddess, and presenting the project to the class in a small group
